Zero Gravity

Dare to air? Challenge accepted.

Skydiving…It is one of those things that I’ve always wanted to do but was too afraid to actually follow through. So when my best friend Nikki decided she wanted to skydive as a way of celebrating her birthday, I had to at least consider it not just for her but for me.

Let me start by saying that I am absolutely terrified of heights and I easily get motion sickness (primary reason why I don’t do rollercoasters). I thought about skydiving for days leading up to the jump and even dreamt about it for a few nights. I knew I would regret it if I didn’t try. So I woke up, put on my very appropriate pair of Nike Air Max Zero sneaks and headed for Skydive Perris.

There are many things in life that are scary, like jumping out of a plane. And there are many times when I really want something for myself but am too afraid to follow through with it because fear of the unknown. For me, skydiving was a symbolism. It was a self reminder that I can’t let fear get in the way of my happiness – that I need to do things for me and not because I’m afraid what others will think or that I’m unsure of what will follow next.

In the end, your life is about you. Don’t let fear compromise your ability to be the best you possible.
