Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio

I’m not going to lie. I could easily say I’ve been busy the past two weeks, but in all honesty I’ve been distracted. So much has happened to me in the last month on every level and I’m still trying to process it. I’m doing that by minimizing my time on social media and the blog. But this recap is long over do so let me try to get through it. And please bare with me over these next few weeks and I’ll try to explain my situation soon enough. I’m still processing!

My weekend in San Antonio, Texas was full of bittersweet feels. It was my first time ever in Texas so that was super exciting, but Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio (RnRSA) was also my last race of 2015.

I had two goals for Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series in 2015:

  1. To run three races and
  2. To run one race in a new location

RnRSA was my fourth Rock ‘n’ Roll race for the year and was also a new location. I’m quite happy that I accomplished my RnR goals but I’m a bit sad that it’s over. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Rock’n’Blog team where I met and made many new runner friends. This particular series holds a special place in my heart because I ran my very first half marathon at RnR San Diego last year.

The major highlight for RnRSA weekend was the beautifully festive town. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and to escape into Christmasland was a gift in itself. I felt so giddy all weekend. I also got to reconnect with a long long time friend who I respect a lot but unfortunately, our schedule are very different. I’m extremely proud of you Kev for running your first half marathon. Only a crazy person like you would run a half marathon without training, but you did it! Congrats and welcome to #TeamNoob!

Blah! Still can’t believe its over. I’ve applied for the 2016 Rock’n’Blog team so fingers crossed I make the cut. If I don’t, I’ll still be running and traveling so don’t go anywhere on me.

Disclaimer: As a Rock ‘n’ Blog team member, I received a free 3-Pack Tour Pass for Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series in exchange for sharing my experiences surrounding the events. As always, all thoughts and opinions are all mine and I only work with brands I truly care about.
