Active recovery: Redux 1

It’s week 2 of training for Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles. I caught a cold while traveling to Toronto. I feel exhausted, sluggish, and unmotivated but I’m pushing through with training. Between early morning spin at Flywheel and late evening gym sessions, I need to slow down.

Slowing down doesn’t necessarily mean doing nothing. To me, it means doing something chill yet active. One of my favorite ways of active recovery is cruising on my Redux 1. There’s something extremely relaxing about wind blowing in your face.

There are going to be times when you’re not feeling 100%. For me, these past few days were brutal. Instead of overexerting myself (which could potentially hurt me), I’m taking it easy and still keeping things active. It’s okay to slow down. It’s okay to take it easy at times. Recovery is important.
